TREB Reports Strong Growth in October
Looks like October sales were up 64% over last year, and the average sale price was up 20%. Positive news, but understandable given how frozen the market was this time last year.
"Strong sales growth has occurred across many property classes – from price ranges that would attract first-time buyers to luxury properties selling for over one million dollars," said TREB President Tom Lebour.
"After a short dip in the winter, the average home price in the GTA has rebounded because sales have been high relative to listings," according to Jason Mercer, TREB's Senior Manager of Market Analysis. “Watch for listings to rebound in 2010 as home owners react to the strong sales and price growth experienced in the latter half of this year.”

Not your average 360 degree fish eye tour...
I thought I'd take this BLOGortunity to share the experience I had when we decided that we needed a virtual tour for our beautiful Stouffville Listing. Now, I've never been a fan of traditional virtual tours - with the fish eye lens and 360 degree spin action - never really found them to be very helpful, and didn't really feel that they did much for an interior space. For a listing like Stouffville, I definitely saw the importance of a video tour. With a high-end country property, potential buyers tend to do a lot more research before committing to a trip out to see it. Unlike the city where you can group half a dozen showings together in the same neighbourhood.

I was very pleased when I discovered Silver:House HD, a company that seems to be pushing the boundaries of Canadian real estate web marketing. On the strength of their website and concept alone, we hired them and I met them in Stouffville to shoot a proper HD video tour of The Stonebrook Estate. Cirque de Soleil OVO
Mary-Jo and I went and saw Cirque du Soleil OVO last night and we were both blown away. Just unbelievable. It's a remarkable show and we highly recommend trying to catch it while it's in town.
